I have recently put a lot of work into giving both the forums site, and the information site much faster load times and an overall performance boost.
I have observed through analytics that users are getting frustrated with the performance issues and so I have taken my time to make the pages load much faster.
I have implemented server caching, replaced the authentication mechanism, and refactored some of the code in order to make the load times much faster.
